From the Desk of Principal Mares

Over the past year, I’ve been journeying through the Bible-in-a-Year podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz, and recently, one verse has stayed with me: “Walk with the wise and you become wise.” — Proverbs 13:20

As a parent and as an educator, I’ve felt the truth of this verse deeply. The people we surround ourselves with, especially our children, have a profound impact on who we become. Their friendships, mentors, and role models all help shape their character, choices, and faith.

That’s why we’ve chosen “Walk with the Wise” as our school theme for the 2025–2026 school year. It’s a call for all of us—students, parents, and staff—to be intentional about the voices we listen to, the examples we follow, and the relationships we build. Are they leading us closer to Christ? Are we helping each other grow in faith, kindness, and wisdom?

As a school community rooted in Catholic values, we are blessed with daily opportunities to walk alongside wise companions through Scripture, the lives of the saints, and one another. This year, let’s lean into those relationships and together, grow into the people God is calling us to be.

Our school theme shirt is ready to go!  This year, orders will be placed through an online store.  The link is live now and will be live through August. 17th.  Orders will be printed and delivered to students at school in the weeks following.  LINK
