Faith Life
Faith Integration
Our Catholic faith is integrated into our students’ everyday lives as an essential part of the classroom environment. Students participate in daily religion class and pray throughout the day. Classes visit our school Prayer Room regularly for activities and prayerful reflection. Our preschool students partner with our parishes to participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shephard program at Saint Francis Xavier.
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade attend Mass weekly at Saint Frances Xavier. Classes take turns planning and leading Mass, including music and readings. Students in fourth grade and above are invited to become Mass servers. The opportunity for students to engage in the parts of Mass in the school setting is a beautiful opportunity to set the foundation for a faith-filled life and future engagement in parish life.
We are blessed to have parish priests and staff who regularly collaborate with our teachers and join to lead lessons in our classes. Some examples of this include teaching our middle schoolers about time spent at the Vatican, and leading Stations of the Cross for our younger elementary students in the Prayer Room.
