Dear Notre Dame families,
I did not always love God. I fell away from Jesus at one time.
Today I love Jesus Christ. I love being a Catholic priest. I am blessed to be part of the Notre Dame community.
My name is Father Jason Blahnik. I go by Father Jason. I am the new administrator of St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere. An administrator functions very much like a pastor. It is good to be here in De Pere. One of the things I asked for in a parish assignment is that it has a school. I have just come from St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc. They have Roncalli Catholic Schools and I was incredibly involved in the elementary school. I hope to be involved at Notre Dame.
Who am I? I am from northern Door County. I am the middle of three children. I graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1998. I went to the University of Arkansas and Mundelein Seminary. I was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ on January 3, 2009
I was not always a faithful follower of Jesus. I fell away from my faith starting in middle school. I had a profound conversion to the Lord Jesus in college. I have been a priest in Oshkosh, Lakewood, and Manitowoc.
I enjoy reading and playing board games. I am a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. I have a cat, Thomas.
I hope to partner with you in the first formation of your children. Please let me be of assistance to you.
Sincerely through Jesus,
Fr. Jason Blahnik
