Student Services Program

Welcome to our Notre Dame of De Pere Student Service page. We have a strong student service program; one where our supportive consultant and teachers work closely together to nurture our students’ God-given gifts so that our students understand their unique gifts and reach their full potential. We strive to meet our students where they are, socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically, when they enter our doors.

Our supportive consultant, Sarah Patterson, is a certified Wilson Language Dyslexia Practitioner. She is one of three GRACE Wilson Language facilitators who mentors Kindergarten – 3rd grade GRACE teachers. Sarah utilizes various methods to meet students’ unique needs. In February of 2021, Sarah was awarded the Rt. Rev. Dane Radecki, O.Praem, GRACE Leadership and Service Educator Award. She demonstrates passion and compassion, faith and knowledge when she works with any of our students.

We consistently monitor students’ progress and track their data. We’ve witnessed huge growth in our students. One particular 2nd grade student increased his reading level from an early-1st grade reading level to a late-2nd grade reading level in just one year. His mother stated in a thank you note, “You literally taught our son to read. We are so grateful.” A 6th grade student entered our doors a very hesitant student who struggled to complete any classroom work independently. As a 7th grader, that same student’s confidence and independence grew exponentially. These successes are only a couple of the many examples we have of reaching children at their level. It is as exciting and gratifying for us as it is for the student and their parents and it is why we do what we do.

We monitor and assess speech concerns beginning with our youngest students. We aim to meet all of our students’ unique needs throughout their educational journey here at Notre Dame.
