4K/ Preschool

  • Pre-K
Hello and Welcome to 3K and 4K! I am excited to be at the Notre Dame Elementary School with all of you! I graduated from UWGB in Elementary Education with an English minor and I am also licensed cross category for Special Education. In my spare time, you will find me working on my Master's degree, reading, or doing crafts (stained glass/ making jewelry). I am a proud mom of three beautiful daughters, who are taking either graduate classes or college courses this year. I thank you all for making me feel so welcome here at your school and allowing me the opportunity to teach and foster such sweet young minds.

In both the 3K and 4K Preschool/ Early Childhood classes, much of our day is focused on play based learning with role modeling and creating a positive “first school” experience .   We also teach with both small and large motor activities, while incorporating language development, building stamina, and listening skills.  Even simple things such as sand play and calendar time touch on many key elements of age appropriate preschool learning.

We follow the FUNDATIONS writing program/ beginning sounds curriculum and also have theme based reading materials for the students with weekly coordinated skill based projects, using the “Catholic ABCs/ Hands On Preschool Curriculum” book.

In 4K class, the students will be learning about the letter of the week as well as the age appropriate theme for the week.  Our school wide theme this year is “SMILE” and be sure to check out the sign near our door for the 3K & 4K class theme.   Students will also be working on early literacy skills, fine motor activities, and how to be a good friend.
