Notre Dame of De Pere

Home and School News

We now have over a month of school under our belts for this year. Thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm and support of our school. Much has happened since the first day of school.

Over 100 families completed all of their enrollment paperwork and registration forms by the August 29th deadline. Each family name was entered into a drawing for a $25 gas card.  Jeff Kaftan, following the Site Advisory Council meeting in September, drew the winner.  The winner was the John and Jackie Nystrom Family. Over 180 families were eligible for a second drawing for paying their Home & School dues prior to September 15th.  Jeff Kaftan drew the Wally and Rachel Cloud Family. Congratulations!

Home and School also collects a number of items that generate money or items for our school.  We are in the middle of a campaign for students to bring in Box Tops, Labels for Education and Milk Caps. For every 500 items that the school collects prior to October 31st, we will draw one student to receive a raffle prize. Students should turn them in to their homeroom teacher. Don’t forget to ask neighbors, friends and relatives to help you collect items too.

We also collect soda pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House. If you shop at Austin’s grocery store on Webster, bring in your receipt and we will receive 1% of the total back.  for more information see: Contest Boxtops Labels Caps Parent Fall 2013

There are many other ways you can earn cash for our school. Do you have a Target RedCard? Designate Notre Dame of De Pere as your school. Last year 56 families had our school designated and in August of this year, we received a check for over $1600! See here for details: REDCard FLYER

Are you uniform shopping? October 15th is the last day of this year students may wear shorts per the uniform policy. When ordering from Land’s End, please use the Notre Dame preferred school code #9000-5448-7 so the school can earn cash back rewards for uniform purchases. If you are shopping elsewhere, use scrip.

Fall Fest is Friday October 18th.  This is a family friendly event that is so popular it is expanding outdoors this year. This is a great way to earn service hours and meet new people. Make sure your calendar is marked and look for the event details in the coming weeks. Many volunteers are still needed. You can sign up on the ND Website under Fundraising on the Volunteers/Events link on the right side of the page.

Home & School meetings take place in the Fr. Dolski Center at the Notre Dame Middle School and start at 7 pm.  It would be great to have at least one homeroom parent from each grade attending each meeting. All parents are welcome. The dates for the remaining Home and School meetings for 2013-2014 are as follows:

 11/12/2013 -Tuesday
12/10/2013 –Tuesday
